Colorado is a wonderful state situated in the Rocky Mountains. There are numerous National Parks where visitors can fully immerse themselves in the natural wonder of the Colorado outdoors.

One significantly popular location is Pike National Forest which is located near to Colorado Springs.

The highest peak in Colorado is Mount Elbert. Along with some of its impressive natural landscapes, Colorado tourism features popular mountain ranges like Collegiate Peaks, Swatch, Sangre de Cristos and Spanish Peaks. Tourists can participate in any number of activities like camping and hiking in White River Forest or Mount Holy Cross. For a skiing vacation, take the opportunity to visit notable winter resorts like Vail, Aspen or Steamboat Springs. With one vacation rental, during any season, you can visit a number of tourist destinations. One famous location is Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area. It is notable for its outdoor water sports like kayaking and whitewater rafting.

One national historic landmark in Colorado is Chautauqua lecture halls. It was actually constructed more than a century ago in 1882 as a meeting place for the local community. Vacationers can visit Denver zoo in the city as well as the natural and science museums. When you are planning to visit Denver with your children, you can consider staying in a vacation rental home where you have lot of attractions within a close proximity of one another. It makes it easy to visit them all. To see modernist architecture, you can go to the Air Force Academy Chapel which is an impressive white building.
